The Miami OCR 2012 week will start on january 22. At the moment there are 81 competitors in the Laser category, and among them several Sunfish Worlds sailors: Ard van Aanholt, Francisco Renna, Lee Parkhill,Andrey Quintero Andrey, Enruique Jose Arathoon and Yanic Gentry (maybe i missed some more).....Ecuador Worlds postponed

The Worlds in Ecuador had to be postponed because of high costs and new responsibilities (for ISCA) presented, but more importantly a lack of confidence in the type of support required to play through the planning of the event. LP is reevaluating the way they will market and supports events.
Class president Paul-Jon Patin is negotiating a new agreement with LP. That could lead to a sponsored World Championship in Newport, Rhode Island with New LP boats (in Sept -early Oct).

Sunfish worldchampion Matheus Dellagnello has won the PanAm Games 2011 Sunfish title with an impressive total of 9 wins out of 11 races (including the medal race).Second place: Paul Foerster, third place: Francisco Renna. ....

During the 2011 PanAm games the sailing competiton is scheduled from 17 to 23 October.
140 athletes(24 men, 19 women and 97 mixed) will sail in Windsurf , Laser, Laser radial , J24, Snipe, Lighting, hopbie cat 16 and of course SUNFISH.At the moment there is no competitor list online :-( ....

I made a small clip of the Prize giving ceremony! So everybody can see the new World Champion, Matheus Dellagnelo receive his Championship Trophy! It was a lovely ceremony and all Matheus South American friends cheered him on!
